Your privacy, in plain words.
Last updated October 29, 2026. What we collect, why we collect it, and how to get in touch about it.
The short version
- We collect what we need to run Milo, and we don’t sell it.
- Visitor stats on Milo sites don’t use cookies or identify anyone.
- Card details go to Stripe, never to us.
- You can get a copy of your data, or delete your account, at any time.
1. Who we are
Milo (“Milo”, “we”, “us”) makes the Milo website builder at app.milo.design and this website. We’re based in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
It covers two groups of people: Milo users, who make an account and build sites, and visitors to the sites our users publish.
2. What we collect from Milo users
- Account details: your name, email address and profile picture. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and picture from Google.
- Workspace details: workspace names, the teammates you invite and their roles.
- What you make: your sites, pages, text, images, brand settings, collections, and the descriptions, pictures and links you give Milo to build from.
- Billing: your plan, invoices and billing history. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Domains: the contact details a domain registration requires, if you buy a domain through Milo.
- How you use the app: pages you open, features you use, AI credits you spend, and technical details like your browser and device, so we can fix problems and make Milo better.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or through support.
3. Visitors to sites built with Milo
When someone visits a published Milo site, we process some information on behalf of the site’s owner. For this information, the site owner decides what is collected and why, and we act as their service provider.
Visitor stats
Milo’s analytics don’t use cookies and don’t identify individual visitors. We record the page viewed, the referring site, country, device type and browser, how far people scroll, time spent engaged, where they click and how long each section is on screen. Visits are grouped with a pseudonymous code that changes every day, so a visitor can’t be followed from one day to the next. Known bots are filtered out.
Forms
If a visitor fills in a form, what they type (for example their name, email and message) is stored in the site owner’s inbox and, if the owner chooses, emailed to them.
Payments
If a visitor buys something or donates, the payment is handled by Stripe for the site owner’s own Stripe account. We receive order details such as the amount, items and the buyer’s email so the owner can see their orders.
If you visited a Milo site and have a question about your information, please contact that site’s owner first. We’ll help them respond.
4. How we use information
- To run Milo: build, host and publish your sites, and keep your account working.
- To generate content when you ask Milo to build or change something.
- To bill you, and to show you your usage and credits.
- To send you sign-in links, invitations, receipts and important account notices.
- To keep Milo secure, prevent abuse, and fix things when they break.
- To understand which features help people, so we can improve them.
- To send product news, if you’ve said yes. You can unsubscribe from any of these emails.
5. AI features
When you ask Milo to build or change something, we send the request and the parts of your site it needs (such as text, settings and the pictures or links you provided) to the AI model providers we work with, so they can produce a result. They process it on our behalf, under agreements that limit what they can do with it.
Please don’t put information into a request that you wouldn’t want on your site.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. When you delete your account or a site, we delete the related information within a reasonable time, except what we must keep for legal, tax or security reasons. Visitor stats are kept so site owners can compare over time and are removed when the site is deleted.
9. Security
We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls and careful choice of providers. No service is perfectly secure, so if we learn of a breach that affects you, we’ll tell you and the right authorities as the law requires.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- Show you the information we hold about you, or give you a copy.
- Correct it if it’s wrong.
- Delete it, or your whole account (you can also do this yourself in Settings).
- Stop using it for a particular purpose, such as marketing email.
Site owners can export their form submissions and orders at any time. To make a request, email privacy@milo.design. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your local privacy authority.
11. Children
Milo isn’t meant for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
If we make an important change, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
